Rainy Day Paperback Exchange is a used book store in Bethel, CT. Books are half price. You can trade in your paperbacks books to get store credit. We carry both fiction and non fiction selections and children's books. We carry books on all subjects from mystery to history and from christian fiction to science fiction.

Please search or browse our inventory of hard to find, out of print, used, and rare books. In store pickup of purchases is available! Order online, pick up in person. Or have us ship it. Free shipping on US orders of $25 or more.

Coffee and a book promotion! Buy $10 worth of merchandise at either Rainy Day Paperback or Redding Roasters Coffee Company, and get a punch on your frequent buyer card. Once you have 5 punches from either store in any combination, you may turn it in at EITHER store for $5 off a purchase of books OR coffee.

How do I apply my store credit for in store pickup? Or how can I pickup in person and indicate I want to pay in cash?

To apply store credit, use the coupon 'credit' at checkout. Make sure the name on checkout matches your store credit!

To pickup and pay in cash at store, use 'pickup' as the coupon at checkout. You will still need to have an account with a credit card tied to it, but it WILL NOT CHARGE THE CARD. Select pick up in store as the checkout method. If you have store credit, put in the credit coupon first to see total, then wipe out that coupon and put in the 'pickup' credit to switch it to the pickup and pay in person. (they can't be combined on the website, we'll just adjust your credit to the correct amount when you come pick up your order)
